Misalignment of mounting holes on NXB-MNT-641-006 Floor Mounting Plate for R-100 Robot

Description

We received the NexBot Drives 641-006 Robot Floor Mounting Plate (SKU: NXB-MNT-641-006) for a new R-100 robot installation. Our technicians have anchored the plate to the concrete floor as per the provided civil engineering drawings. However, when we attempted to place the R-100 robot onto the plate, we discovered that the pre-drilled mounting holes on the plate do not align with the mounting holes on the base of the robot. We have triple-checked the robot model and the part number on the plate, and both are correct. We have rotated the robot 90 degrees at a time to check all orientations, but none of them align. The discrepancy is approximately 15mm on the Y-axis. This is halting the entire cell commissioning process, and we are falling behind schedule. We need urgent assistance to determine if we have a defective plate or if there is a procedural step we are missing.

The resolution involved guiding the customer to identify and use the correct outer set of holes, which are specifically drilled for the R-100 robot's larger base footprint. After re-orienting the robot to the correct pattern, all mounting points aligned perfectly, and the installation was successfully completed.

1. Confirm the robot model is an R-100 series robot.
2. Inspect the top surface of the NXB-MNT-641-006 plate and locate the two concentric bolt hole patterns.
3. Identify the outer bolt hole pattern, which is specified for the R-100 robot series in the product's installation manual (Doc ID: TD-MNT-641-EN-R2).
4. Carefully lift and re-position the R-100 robot base to align with the correct outer set of mounting holes.
5. Insert and hand-tighten all mounting bolts to ensure proper thread engagement and alignment.
6. Torque the mounting bolts to the specification listed in the R-100 robot installation manual.
7. Verify the robot is level and securely fastened to the mounting plate before proceeding with power and data connections.
