Overview

The NexBot Robotics VAC413-017 is a compact and powerful vacuum gripper designed for reliable handling of non-porous and semi-porous materials in automated manufacturing environments. This end-of-arm tooling solution integrates a high-efficiency venturi vacuum generator and a fast-acting solenoid valve directly into its body, minimizing response time and simplifying system integration by reducing the need for external plumbing and valve banks. Constructed from a single block of anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, the VAC413-017 offers an excellent balance of strength and low weight, preserving the host robot's effective payload. Its robust design ensures durability in demanding industrial settings. The gripper is capable of achieving a maximum vacuum level of -85 kPa, providing a strong and secure hold on a variety of objects. With a nominal lift capacity of 15 kg (subject to surface condition and cup selection), it is well-suited for a wide range of applications. Key applications include high-speed pick and place operations, packaging and carton erecting, palletizing, and machine tending for loading and unloading CNC machines or presses. The gripper features a standard ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6 mounting flange, enabling direct attachment to many NexBot Robotics articulated and collaborative robot models without the need for custom adapters. Control is managed via a standard M12 industrial connector, supporting 24VDC digital I/O signals for simple activation. For advanced control and diagnostics, an optional IO-Link communication module is available. Routine maintenance is minimal, typically involving periodic inspection and replacement of the suction cups to ensure optimal performance.
