1. Required Tools & Materials

Workstation with Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or later
Administrative privileges on the target workstation
Stable internet connection for download and activation
NexBot Customer Portal account credentials
NXB-GEN-232-002 License Key File (.lic) provided via email
Minimum 16 GB RAM and a dedicated graphics card with 4 GB VRAM
At least 25 GB of free hard disk space

2. Pre-Installation Checks

Verify the workstation meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements listed in the product datasheet.
Confirm that the user has local administrator rights to install software.
Ensure network firewalls allow outbound connections to NexBot's licensing servers (ports 80 and 443).
Download the latest version of the NexBot Drives Simulation Software installer from the NexBot Customer Portal.
Locate the NXB-GEN-232-002 license key file received after purchase.
Temporarily disable any antivirus software that might interfere with the installation process.

3. Installation Procedure

Step 1: Download Software Installer

Log in to the official NexBot Customer Portal. Navigate to the 'Software Downloads' section and download the installer package for 'NexBot Drives Simulation Software'.

Step 2: Run Installer Application

Locate the downloaded installer file. Right-click the file and select 'Run as administrator' to begin the installation process.

Warning: Failure to run as an administrator can lead to an incomplete installation and subsequent application errors.

Step 3: Accept End-User License Agreement (EULA)

Read the EULA carefully. You must accept the terms to proceed with the installation of the software.

Step 4: Select Installation Path and Components

Step 6: Launch License Manager

After installation, find and launch the 'NexBot License Manager' application from the Start Menu. This utility is used to activate and manage your software licenses.

Step 7: Import License File

Within the License Manager, select the 'Activate License' option and choose 'Import from file'. Browse to the location of your NXB-GEN-232-002 license key file (.lic) and open it.

Warning: Ensure you are using the exact license file provided for this purchase. Using an incorrect file will result in activation failure.

Step 8: Activate Online

The License Manager will display the details of the NXB-GEN-232-002 license. Click 'Activate Online' to validate the license with the NexBot licensing server. A confirmation message will appear upon successful activation.

4. Post-Installation Verification

Launch the main NexBot Drives Simulation Software application.
Navigate to the 'Help' > 'About' menu and verify that the license status is 'Active' and lists the NXB-GEN-232-002 product.
Create a new, empty project to ensure the core environment loads without errors.
Load a sample project from the included examples library to confirm all components render correctly.
